PC Repair Services
There are many people out there that call themselves a
Computer Technician but have no formal schooling in computers. You can hire one of them for a much lower rate but you will find that they do not have the education or the
insurance that a professional requires. Do you want to take the chance on one of these people and if there is ever an issue with them, you have no recourse except to sue
them and they will not have the insurance to cover the damages.
Now, there are those of us that not only have extensive schooling in the Information Technology field but also
have many years of experience that gives them the advantage of having seen just about everything that could possibly go wrong with a computer. Also, every certified independent
technician out there will have business liability insurance in case of a problem with a customer plus have all of their state, county and local licenses and permits.
They also are very honest to a fault. If for some strange reason
a certified technician comes across a situation that they have never seen before (we have had that happen to us), we are honest enough to admit we were not sure on how to deal with it
so we tell our customers that we have to make a couple of calls to get the answer and we will get back with them as soon as we find out what the problem could be. We also do not charge
them for the extra time investigating what could be wrong when we have to consult with another technician, but because we have a top consultant (who by the way is DoD certified) just a
phone call away, we can usually get the answer by 5 PM that same day.
Those of us that have been in the business for a lot of years call
those who think they are technicians but have no insurance, no listed business phone number and business cards they print up on their computer at home “Pizza Petes” because they are usually
someone who has worked on a computer as a hobby or are college students trying to make a few bucks on the side. Well, maybe they can do most of the minor things, but those of us who
have been around a while can usually accomplish more in one hour than they could all day. That is why we charge what we charge.
Yes, you could probably find someone who is willing to charge $25 to $40 an hour for their
services, but they have no clue on what it costs to run a business, they think they know something about computers because they are a gamer, and the only overhead they have is the cost of gas for their cars.
As a Navy trained Computer Technician, and having taken and passed the A+ Certification
exam as well as taken courses for Network security, Cloud Implementation, e-Commerce Solutions and many other courses over the past 35 plus years of computer servicing, Bob
Cohen has the knowledge and overall experience to be able to handle just about anything that could come across his desk.

If you are out of our local service area, we will recommend someone to you that has passed
our background check and is a certified technician. If you are in the Washington, DC area, we have someone there who not only has passed the A+ Certification test, but they also
currently work for the government the in the Alexandria, VA area and do freelance work. They will already have all of the information they need to assist you. We do not charge them
any fees for their services as they will bill you direct.
